Prep time: 15 mins – Cook time: 10-12 mins – Total time: 25 mins
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 ½ cups ground pecan
- 3/4 cup butter
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Equipment:
Measuring cups and spoons |
2 Medium bowls (or 1 if using a standing electric mixer) |
Spatula |
Baking tray, lined with parchment paper |
Electric whisk (standing or hand held) |
How to…..
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit/150 degrees Celsius
In a standing mixer or with a handheld electric whisk, beat the butter until soft. Add the sugar and vanilla extract and continue beating until creamy.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour and ground pecans. Add the flour and pecan mix to the butter mixture. Fold them in by hand or using a spatula until well combined. Once they are mixed well, round them up into a ball shape (about 1 tablespoon each).
Arrange them on the baking tray and bake for about 10-12 minutes. They should be cracked and that’s when you know they’re ready. Take them out of the oven and cool them.
