Mini Chocolate Bundt Cake with Chocolate Ganache

This is chocolate heaven. Soft and moist chocolate cake, smooth ganache. I actually make this chocolate cake a lot and use it as my base for many different desserts. It’s easy, so tasty and has just the right texture.
Prep time: 45 mins – Cook time: 30 mins – – Total time: 1 hour 15 mins

Ingredients:

Cake

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/3 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup oil

Equipment:

Measuring cups and spoons
Large bowl
3-4 mini bundt cake pans, buttered and floured
Standing or handheld electric whisk
Wire rack
Spatula

Pastry brush

How to…..

Preheat oven to 350F/176 C. Using a pastry brush, butter and flour the mini bundt pans.

Cake

In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until well combined. Pour into the mini cake pans, and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. 

Let them cool in the pans for 5-10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and let them cool completely.

Now make the ganache.

Pour the warm ganache over the cooled cakes.
