I like to snack on these…they don’t make me feel guilty because they’re a thin version of brownies! So easy to make, and great to have on the kitchen counter for that perfect snack when you have a 10 minute break.
Prep time: 15 mins – Chill time: 60 mins – Cook time: 10 mins – Total time: 85 mins
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups flour
- ¼ cup cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter (or slightly less)
- ¼ cup brown sugar

Baking sheet, lined with parchment paper or buttered and floured |
How to…..
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit/176 degrees Celsius.
Mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
WIth a handheld electric whist beat the butter and brown sugar until pale and fluffy.
With the speed on low, add the flour mixture and beat until combined.
Put it in the fridge to chill for about an hour. Remove from the fridge and take about a tablespoon each and shape it into a round ball. Place on the baking sheet. Repeat until you use all the dough. Press down gently on each one, flattening them slightly.
Bake them for about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.
